On networks where validator slots are limited and demand is high, operating or delegating to a top-tier validator provides both yield optimization and network influence. There is a reason that institutional investors entering the crypto space — pension funds, endowments, registered investment advisors — are expressing significant interest in staking as a yield-generation mechanism. It aligns with how institutional capital has always preferred to work: generating income from productive assets rather than depending entirely on price speculation.
